It's True.

Papers have been signed and money has been given. I have a new address in the Saddlebunch Keys. The move will commence immediately, and brings a few other interesting life changes along with it. The supercharged S2000, for example, will probably be history within days. No car ever goes over 60mph in the Keys, and I could use a nice Jeep.

I will miss some people in Orlando, but it's time for me to stop dodging bullets and leave. To those I leave behind, my best advice is to purchase a shotgun. I'll be around from time to time to help you select a good one. May I suggest the venerable Mossberg 500, or, if you're very fancy, the Beretta Xtrema2. I'm not sure what will happen to my firearms or concealed carry permit. There's no crime where I'm going.

The new place, like most of the Lower Keys, shares a zip code with Key West, but is in fact a very small community of less than 500 people huddled together in the middle of the ocean, in the waterspout capital of the world (yes the first few times I see them, will be stressful on my pants laundry, even if Wikipedia assures me they are nontornadic F0's). From my own spot on the ocean, literally sitting on the dock of a bay, I look forward to crabbing, shrimping, fishing, kayaking, storm watching, and the likely re-activation of my amateur radio activities.

So much more I could say, but that's most of it. Photos of the below-mentioned beach house (in Lower Matecumbe Key in Islamorada, BTW) and the entire Florida Keys from my week in exile, will be available as I get more time to post them. For now, I've got a life to turn upside down.
